A meticulous restoration of a historical Victorian home’s front porch and support columns. This project preserved the home’s architectural integrity while addressing structural challenges to ensure its longevity.

Reconstruction of Front Porch

The front porch was carefully dismantled and rebuilt, ensuring every detail matched the original design. From the ornate balustrades to the intricate woodwork, each element was restored or replicated to maintain the historical charm of the home. The new porch structure was reinforced to meet modern safety standards while preserving its vintage aesthetic.

Support Column Restoration

The porch’s original support columns were stripped of old paint and decay, repaired, and repainted to restore their classic appearance. Where necessary, sections of the wood were replaced with hand-crafted replicas to seamlessly match the original design. These columns were also reinforced internally to provide enhanced structural stability without compromising their traditional look.

Attention to Historical Detail

Throughout the restoration, attention was given to maintaining the historical accuracy of the home. The paint colors, materials, and design details were chosen to match the original Victorian style. This dedication to preserving the home’s heritage resulted in a front porch that honors its history while being structurally sound for years to come.
