Kitchen with spalted maple shelving and zellige tile
The kitchen design features handmade Zellige tiles as a backsplash, installed across all walls for a rich, artisanal texture. The floating shelves and island are crafted from spalted maple, bringing unique grain patterns and a natural warmth to the space. Walnut flooring flows throughout, grounding the design with a warm, cohesive look. Together, these elements create a kitchen that feels both inviting and thoughtfully finished.
Each component was chosen to complement the modular home’s structure while adding custom detail. The combination of earthy tones from the Zellige tiles and the spalted maple enhances the kitchen’s visual depth without overpowering the clean, modern lines of the modular design.
Custom pantry with rolling ladder and LED-lit shelving
In the pantry, custom shelving maximizes storage and accessibility. LED lighting was installed along each shelf, providing soft illumination that highlights the natural wood tones. A rolling library-style ladder allows for easy access to higher shelves, adding a practical and visually interesting feature to the space.
This pantry is designed to serve both form and function, with clean lines that maintain the minimalist aesthetic of the home. The result is a highly functional storage area that feels cohesive with the rest of the design.
Powder room with mosaic tile and bold wallpaper
The powder room features a mosaic tile floor, adding a textural focal point. To complement the tiles, I installed a dark green wainscotting and a botanical wallpaper, giving the space a lively yet balanced look. The mix of patterns and textures transforms this small room into a distinctive space that feels both bold and integrated with the home’s overall design.
Master bathroom with heated slate floors and custom shower
The master bathroom features heated slate flooring, adding both comfort and durability to the space. A custom, low-profile exhaust fan was installed, nearly invisible to the eye, preserving the bathroom’s clean and minimalist aesthetic.
Around the entire bathroom, indirect perimeter lighting provides a soft, ambient glow. This lighting, combined with a custom LED-lit shower niche, brings warmth and depth to the space, enhancing its inviting feel.
The shower includes a thermostatic valve that supplies three shower heads, offering precise temperature control for a comfortable and luxurious shower experience. For additional functionality, I designed and fabricated a floating tile bench, providing seating that integrates seamlessly with the hexagonal tile walls and complements the bathroom’s geometric design.
Walnut flooring and custom lighting in stairwell and hallways
Throughout the main floor and hallway, I installed walnut hardwood flooring that ties together each room. The custom walnut lighting fixtures in the stairwell and hallways were designed to match the warmth of the flooring, adding a subtle yet cohesive element to the overall design.
The combination of walnut floors and custom lighting provides continuity from room to room, giving the modular home a unified look. These details were chosen to enhance the home’s natural materials while adding a handcrafted touch that complements the modular structure.
